The Effect of Cardio Exercises on Some Physiological, Physical and 800m Race Following the COVID-19 lockdown

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of cardio exercises on some physical and physiological aspects and 800m running race following the covid 19 lockdown for faculty of physical education students year 3. Twenty-four students participated in the current study, divided into two groups 12 student experimental group and 12 students control group, Age 20.66 ±0.92, Height 164.33±6.32, weight 63.51±7.02. Experimental group applied the referred specific cardio exercises addition to the normal faculty program, for (7) weeks, (2) training units per week with total (14) training unites and the control group applied the normal faculty program. Skeletal muscle mass (SMM), Fat free mass (FFM), Body mass index (BMI), percentage body fat (PBF) Coper Test and 800m running race were tested before and after applied exercises for both experimental and control group. The most important results showed that after the end of seven weeks cardio training exercises positive influence recorded to experimental group. Cardio exercises leads to a significant elevation in the research physiological variables, Coper Test, and 800m running test most likely as a result of the cardio exercises training.
