Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop the level of technical performance of the understudy skills on the floor exercise apparatus in gymnastics, by developing the dimensions of mental imagery of the individuals in the sample being researched and designing exercises for mental imagery to develop the level of technical performance of the skills understudy and identify the percentage of improvement in the level of technical performance of the skills under research, and the researcher used the approach the experimental using the experimental design for one group and by performing the two measurements (pre - post), and the basic study sample was chosen intentionally by the gymnastics team players in the Qassim University, and the sample included (10) players, as well as (3) players to conduct the exploratory study in order to codify the special training loads With the proposed mental imagery exercises, the percentage of improvement for the experimental group in the dimensions of mental imagery ranged between (46.4%, 57.6%) and the highest percentage of improvement was visual imagery of (57.6%) and the lowest improvement rate was for auditory imagery by (46.4%) and the rest of the dimensions ranged between them . While the percentage of improvement for the experimental group in the technical performance variables ranged between (37.2%, 52.7%) and the highest percentage improvement was for the second skill (Back Handspring) by (52.7%) and the lowest improvement rate was the first skill (Round Off) by (37.2%) and the rest of the variables ranged between them.
